POLICIES & CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

Package Deposit Information

Deposits, Final Payments and Confirmation

  • 25% Deposit is required upon tour booking.
  • Custom Tour Quote fee is $50 Cdn, which can be used as a credit when the tour is booked.
  • We accept Money Order, Bank Draft, Cheque, Mastercard or Visa (Funds made payable to Adventures BC Travel Cooperative).
  • Mailed payments should be sent to:
    Destination Sunshine Coast Excursions
    Box 237, Gibsons Landing, BC, Canada  V0N 1V0
  • Confirmation Package will be mailed containing: Deposit receipt, Itinerary, Waiver and Registration form.
  • Final Payment Due no later than 2 weeks before the first day of travel for mini excursions and getaways, 1 week prior to day trips.
  • We require your Registration form 4 to 6 weeks prior to the first day of travel.
  • Final trip details to be mailed when final payment is received. These details may include your travel vouchers or coupons and tickets needed for your trip.

Bookings

  • Bookings are recommended at least 6 weeks prior to the package start date.
  • Bookings can be made up to the date of departure, depending on space availability.
  • Service charges may apply to last minute bookings to cover courier charges or wire transfer fees.

Cancellation

Multi day packages have limited space and any cancellation can greatly affect the operation of the trip. Therefore, we regret deposits are strictly non-refundable. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended (available through Adventures BC Travel Cooperative).

If you have to cancel your trip the following fees apply, depending on when we receive your written notice:

  • More than 6 weeks before departure: Loss of Deposit
  • Less than 6 weeks before departure: 50% Cost of Trip
  • Less than 2 weeks before departure: Full Cost of Trip

Depending on your reason for cancellation, these charges may be recoverable on your travel insurance policy.

Note: If we can fill your slot you will receive a Full Refund less a $50.00 Administration Fee upon return of all final documents including vouchers or tickets supplied for your trip.

Cancelled Tours

  • Destination Sunshine Coast reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure.
  • On rare occasions if we are forced to cancel your booked tour, Destination Sunshine Coast Excursions will endeavor to offer an alternative tour or refund.
  • If these are not acceptable to you, we will refund all your monies, but will not be liable for any other losses incurred.
  • Reasons may include but are not limited to, unforeseen circumstances or insufficient bookings.
  • Tour cancellations due to insufficient bookings would normally occur at least one month prior to departure.
